There have been a lot of changes in the truck market these days. With the constant increase of gas price, the demand for large trucks has been rising while the demand for mid-sized and smaller trucks is steadily declining. Larger trucks are fuel efficient.   Toyota and Honda trucks are the best options in buying trucks. These trucks are great whether new or used. Used Japanese cars are always efficient, even the used Japanese trucks. In deciding whether to buy a Toyota truck or a Honda Truck, there is some important information about trucks you must first consider. Either way, used Japanese cars, or in this case trucks, can always offer you great options. You must consider which truck has the features mentioned below:

Two- or four-wheel-drive

Almost all pickup trucks can be categorized as two-wheel-drive or four-wheel drive. Most trucks are four-wheel drive because it can offer power to all four wheels whenever it is necessary. This adds more power to the truck, especially when it is driving up slopes. In choosing between a Toyota or Honda truck, make sure the truck has an efficient four-wheel-drive feature.

Cabin Seating

In choosing a truck, you must consider its payload capacity. The passenger weight and the things you carry in the bed must all be considered in the payload capacity. You must also consider the capacity your truck can safely tow.

Engines

In choosing whether to buy a Toyota or a Honda truck and whether it be new or used Japanese cars, you must consider its engine. V-6 engines have stronger power compared to other engines.

 

In the year 2009, in accordance with the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA), Toyota Motor’s Prius was highest selling car in Japan. In the history, any hybrid car has acquired that top position for the first time. It sold about 208,876 cars in 2009 which was three times higher in number than the Prius cars sold in the previous year. By producing 8 of the top 10 best selling models Toyota dominated Japanese car market in the previous year. It is also the mainly selling electric-gas hybrid vehicle in the whole world that has sold about 1.6 million vehicles yet.

In May 2009, the world’s largest automaker-Toyota rolled out a revamped, fuel-efficient and low price version with the power of about 38 kilometers per litre. In Japan, this achievement of Toyota Prius emphasizes the rising user acceptance of green cars.In Japan, because of the incentives and income tax breaks presented by Japanese government increase the sale of hybrid vehicles and that also the main reason to improve the sales number like Toyota Prius. For more sale and keep away from competition, Toyota has kept the Toyota Prius price very reasonable like the initial price of basic U.S. model. The starting price was $22,000 which was also same as last year’s base price of similar model.

The second position was occupied by Honda which is called a non-hybrid car and that was sold about 157,324 cars. Last year because of the global economic decline Japanese automakers expect that the reputation of fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles will recuperate the worsening auto market. From that time, hybrids have to face competition from mini-electric car manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors which is also called the pure electric vehicle.

A pickup truck is a vehicle that has an open-top rear cargo area, which is almost always separated from the cab. The Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup truck that has been sold in the market since the year 2000. It is considered to be the first full-size truck built especially for Americans, with its American look and feel. Like the Tacoma, it has also been honored by Motor Trend Magazine as Truck of the Year in 2000 and 2008.  The first generation, in fact, had many similarities to the compact type Tacoma. However, the Toyota T100 is still the Tundra’s rightful predecessor.

An advantage and great feature of the Tundra is its V8 engine. And of course, coming from Toyota, it is reputed to be reliable and definitely durable. This is the choice vehicle for most recreational pickup truck buyers as it is very easy to drive. The second generation Toyota Tundra also features three cab sizes, three bed lengths, and three engine choices. These choices made the truck very popular for buyers who know exactly what they want and need. All versions of the truck are offered with rear-wheel drive or 4WD.

The Toyota Tacoma and Tundra are both high-quality and high-performance trucks. Which is why the choice of which truck is better usually comes down to the buyer himself, with each truck offering different “personalities” and each buyer having different needs as well.

Toyota offers additional options that do not come pre-packaged that customers can choose from. Some of these optional features include fog lamps, daytime running lights, power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade, and sliding rear window. Some options are more for looks or luxury while others serve to be beneficial to have.

Toyota’s accessories are also pleasing to the customer. They have many different accessories to choose from.
